KUALA LUMPUR (June 26): Intelligent Money Sdn Bhd (iMoney), a company specialising in financial product comparisons, has received a RM500,000 grant from Cradle Fund Sdn Bhd — an agency under the Ministry of Finance.

This is the company’s second outside funding after receiving US$500,000 from Asia Venture Group — a private Internet holding group.

iMoney is an independent, MSC-status company that helps consumers compare and apply online for financial services like credit cards, mortgages, personal loans, and loans for government servants.

In a statement, the company said funding support from the Cradle Investment Programme — a government initiative to support local TECHNOLOGY entrepreneurs — is a huge boost to its stature.

“We started off with just a team of three, sharing a collective vision to simplify financial matters for consumers, and now we have close to 40 staff and are backed by Cradle within a year.

“The support gives us a greater incentive to be the number one destination for financial matters for people across the Southeast Asia region,” said iMoney founder Ching Wei Lee.
